Sassy

Sassy is our sweet 21 year old mare who had once been a great show jumping horse owned by a girl who loved her very much. Unfortunately, Sassy’s owner was unable to provide for her and so, we welcomed her to our family. Sassy had a stroke causing her facial paralysis prior to coming to us. Luckily, she is able to eat and drink normally. But age has now caught up with her.  Arthritis has set in so the cold really bothers her. We keep her comfortable with daily medication and keep her blanketed on cold nights. When we turn her out she still runs around like a crazy, wild girl and you would never think that she has had a stroke or has arthritis. She surprises us everyday!! We love her so much and only want the best for her. We will allow her to live out the rest of her days here at the ranch pain free and happy with her friends.
