Miss Duchess

This angel is a 20 year old mare who was surrendered to our rescue in 2019. She came from an abusive case where her original owner had gone away to hospice care, therefore Miss Duchess was being taken of by a friend of her owner. The new owner had abused her and flipped her causing severe nerve damage. She came to us and we got her the right treatment. She has been doing better since being with us, still gets scared when someone new enters her stall but once she doesn’t feel threatened, she just wants to be held, groomed and loved.
