Roman is a 37 year old thoroughbred gelding that our rescue purchased through a Craigslist ad. Roman was completely emaciated when we got him and our major concern was that he might not live. He was nothing but skin and bones. It took over a year of rehabilitation but Roman is now a healthy, happy member of our rescue. Standing at 17+ hands he is a very impressive animal and you would not believe he is 37. Roman is a permanent resident of our rescue due to his age.
