Hobo in Vegas (Pickles)

UPDATE

Pickles is eating fantastic he just a terribly underweight horse. He has a really hard time gaining weight and being older and a little arthritic. He has a really hard time getting up in the morning when it’s cold so he has his winter blanket on but every morning he’s sticks his head up and waits for somebody to come put the halter on him and help him get up from his sleepy spot and that just seems to be the routine that he’s doing now. Maybe 5 out of 7 mornings we come out and he’s laying there waiting for us.

Pickles is a 25 yr old registered quarter horse. His actual name is Hobo N Vegas. His sire was Pico Hobo Dell and dam was Foxy Vegas Gal. He was born in Idaho and eventually moved to Oregon and through the years found his way to SoCal and Edwards AFB. Pickles  has had a long life where he’s done lots of different jobs and has gotten to the point where he’s just tired.  He has a hard time getting up in the mornings and we often have to put a halter on him and assist him in standing up. Pickles will be a sanctuary horse with Wild at Heart for as long as he is with us.
